16x24 “Such Great Heights” by John Rowe.Taken near the summit of Mount Blue Sky at 14,265 feet above sea level, a lone mountain goat takes in a spectacular view of the valley below.On a cool July morning I arrived at the mountain at 4am and followed a herd of mountain goats at a respectful distance to the summit just before first light.Near daybreak, this old goat split off from the herd to a series of ledges and paused briefly to warm himself in the first rays of sunshine before descending down the cliff face.
