Inspired by the stained interiors of wine barrels, our Mihaela Collection is a masterfully crafted work of art. Each piece is built by a family of artisans using Romanian oak that has been hand-cut from the foothills surrounding their mountain village. Finishes are applied by hand—a closely guarded, secretive process that creates a rich color, accentuating the natural textures and organic grain patterns of the wood. * Frames are craftsman-built from solid Romanian oak sustainably harvested by our artisan partners. * Hand-carved detailing is artfully painted to appear as metallic brass accents. * Each finishing process takes three days to complete per piece. Using water to open the wood’s grain, finishes are able to penetrate the full thickness of solid wood surfaces. * Bed frames include space to accommodate variances in mattress sizes and to allow bedding to be tucked in. * Queen Bed features an internal cavity measuring 61.5" w x 81.5" d x 3" h. * King Bed features an internal cavity measuring 77.5" w x 81.5" d x 3" h. * Box spring not required.
