Gardner-White is a Michigan-area regional known for selection and warehouse convenience. Stock furniture inside the service area generally allows a short reselect/cancel window (about 7 days) with a 25% handling fee; mattresses, special orders, floor samples, and outside-area freight are typically final. Financing is through Synchrony (Epic Pay/AFF also referenced). Doorstep or white-glove delivery; free warehouse pickup in Auburn Hills.

Ashley is the familiar mass-market furniture name most shoppers already recognize—sofas, sectionals, recliners, and whole-room packages sold through independently owned HomeStores and many other retailers. Official company history traces Ashley Furniture’s start to 1945 in Chicago, with corporate headquarters later in Arcadia, Wisconsin, and a retail HomeStore network that began in 1997. People buy Ashley when they want style variety and ready availability more than a long custom lead time. Materials and mechanisms differ widely by collection, so the PDP details matter more than the brand name alone. Check cover type, motion features, dimensions, fabric grade if listed, and the local retailer’s return and delivery rules before you commit. House and sister labels can sit beside Ashley-branded SKUs—read the maker line on the tag so warranty tickets stay clear.
