Hooker Furniture Charleston Kidney Writing Desk

About this piece

The Charleston Kidney Writing Desk elegantly captures the essence of West Indies tropical craftsmanship blended with the refined styles of British and Dutch Colonial design periods. This desk features a distinctive kidney shape, enhanced by stretchers and rattan drawer fronts, with intricately carved leaf motifs adorning its legs. The robust leather writing surface adds a touch of luxury and practicality, making it ideal for both writing and computer use. Constructed from Cherry Veneers, Rattan, and Resin, and finished in a deep, rich Maraschino Cherry, the desk includes five drawers equipped with features such as removable partitions, a writing slide, a pencil tray, and a drop-front center drawer for keyboard accessibility. Antique bronze round knobs and ring-pill hardware provide the perfect finishing touches to this exquisite piece, making it a standout addition to any home office or study area.
