Monterey Platform Bed

About this piece

Expertly crafted in solid bamboo, the clean modern lines of the Monterey Platform Bed highlight Wheat's natural array of colors to deliver warm, elegant beauty. The platform bed features a craftsman-built frame, softly rounded edges, turned and tapered legs, and uses tough metal-to-metal hardware to easily withstand multiple assemblies with ease. Designed for comfort and everyday living, the headboard provides a restful surface, angled for good looks, and comfortable for lounging or reading in bed. Crafted in solid bamboo it is earth friendly, and a sustainable resource. Monterey is designed for use with a mattress only, the platform bed is supported with a solid bamboo European slat system, anchored at the corners so nothing shifts or shakes. This eliminates the need for a box spring and provides constant ventilation for your mattress. Available in Queen and Eastern King sizes. Sustainable and environmentally safe, the Wheat color is not a stain finish, simply an innovation created using earth friendly heat, steam, and pressure to transform the bamboo into Wheat's variety of colors. The finished product displays a beautiful grain pattern with continuous color throughout the entire material. Variation in grain and color enrich the natural beauty of bamboo furniture and make each piece unique. Slight differences in bamboo shade colors are signs that the furniture has been crafted from solid bamboo and is considered a benchmark of quality.
