Stressless (also listed as Ekornes or Stressless by Ekornes) is the Norwegian ergonomic seating brand shoppers know for recliners and sofas with individually reclining seats and signature glide comfort. Trade and brand history widely cite the first Stressless recliner in 1971 from Ekornes. People buy Stressless when personalized recline, headrest adjustability, and long-session comfort matter more than a fixed stationary sofa. On the PDP, note base type, leather or fabric cover, and whether each seat moves independently, then confirm the selling retailer’s delivery, leather care guidance, and warranty service path. Sit-test base options and per-seat recline feel on the floor before you special-order a leather or fabric cover.
