Performance Weave polyester rope is handwoven around the aluminum frames by our artisan partners in Indonesia—selected for its textural appearance and all-weather durability. Polyester rope is meticulously designed with intricate yarns and handwoven onto aluminum frames to form a stunning linear pattern. Manadala’s premium natural teak hardwood curated by Arhaus is untreated and unfinished; its organic color tones are honed by finely sanding into a smoothed surface. Natural teak highlights organic variations in color and graining. These characteristics may differ between pieces. Natural teak may display small splits, knots, joint lines, or other features, adding character to your piece without affecting its quality or performance. Teak hardwood contains natural oils that repel insects, prevent drying, and resist moisture. Teak is also resistant to fungal decay, rotting, and warping due to temperature or humidity. Over time, natural teak’s warm, golden color eventually fades to a silvery-grey patina. Weathering will begin immediately when left uncovered and in daylight.
