This collection is crafted from sustainably harvested Grade-A teak wood, selected for its natural beauty and durability. Zoe’s premium natural teak hardwood curated by Arhaus is untreated and unfinished; its organic color tones are honed by finely sanding into a smoothed surface. Natural teak highlights organic variations in color and graining. These characteristics may differ between pieces. Natural teak may display small splits, knots, joint lines, or other features, adding character to your piece without affecting its quality or performance. Teak hardwood contains natural oils that repel insects, prevent drying, and resist moisture. Teak is also resistant to fungal decay, rotting, and warping due to temperature or humidity. When exposed to rain showers, teak’s natural oils can be released and leave marks on new teak furniture. We recommend rinsing your teak furniture with a garden hose prior to first use. Over time, natural teak’s warm, golden color eventually fades to a silvery-grey patina. Weathering will begin immediately when left uncovered and in daylight.
